A Clarity Consultation is an introductory phone or Zoom call where we get to know your business at a high level. During it, we’ll learn what you need, and suggest how we can best help. We’ll share general guidance where useful, but this call is designed to test whether we’re a good fit for one another, before you commit.
After the consultation, we provide a written strategy proposal with clear next steps.
A free call is, in truth, a sales call, and its purpose is to sell you something. The Clarity Consultation is a genuine working session and an investment in your legal strategy. Even a high-level scoping of your business’s legal needs takes real time, expertise and effort, and the fee reflects that. In return, you get direct access to our small team of senior experts at a genuinely critical juncture for your business. Because we work with fewer clients on deeper engagements, we take the time to consider the best way to help you, before you commit, and the fixed fee of $495 reflects that.
You will work directly with a partner, either Courtney or Isabel, from your first conversation through to final sign-off.
We are a small team by design, so every client receives specialist attention.

Our focus is on commercial legal strategy and the strategic advice that helps you build the right legal foundations for your business. From there, our expertise spans business structures, contracts, employment matters, intellectual property, compliance, business purchases and commercial relationships, all considered as part of our holistic advisory service.

How We Work
After your Clarity Consultation, we’ll send you a written proposal for your Signature Strategy Session, along with an invitation to book it in. Once you accept the proposal and sign the contract, we’ll confirm your session with a Zoom invite.

A Strategic Roadmap is a clear legal plan for your business that includes written advice, a visual stakeholder map and a comprehensive implementation plan.
It may cover your business structure, contracts, risk, asset protection, commercial relationships and the legal steps needed to support your next stage of growth.
We do both. Where other firms make you choose between strategic advice and project-by-project execution, every Her Lawyer client receives holistic support, from strategy through to full implementation of every recommendation. It’s one all-inclusive package, not a series of separate decisions.
Here’s roughly what to expect:
- Your Clarity Consultation takes 30–60 minutes
- We’ll send your proposal within a couple of days
- Your Signature Strategy Session is booked in within a fortnight
- We prepare and send your roadmap within 2–4 weeks of your session
- We meet again a day or two after you receive it, to walk you through it
- Implementation typically takes around 3 months
Strategic work takes a little longer than a single document, because we’re looking at the legal structure around your entire business, but you’ll always know your expected timeframe and package fee upfront, before any work begins.

Where helpful, we can work alongside your accountant, broker or other advisers so the advice is aligned and you are not left trying to piece everything together yourself.
Sometimes a single document is all you need, and we will tell you honestly when that is the case.

Fees and Billing
The Clarity Consultation is $495, paid via direct debit mandate to your nominated account, using the GoCardless platform.
After that, we provide a clear proposal for your Strategic Strategy Session. We mostly work on fixed fees, so you understand the cost before work begins.
Once we agree to work together, we will take a direct debit mandate to your nominated account, using the GoCardless platform.
As a digital-first business we do everything to reduce administrative friction for our clients.
As we often work on larger strategic projects, we understand that timing and cash flow matter. For eligible clients and matters, we can discuss a deferred payment arrangement that allows the work to be completed over one timeframe, while payment is made over a longer period.
For example, we may complete the agreed legal work over 3 months, with payment made over 6 months.
Any deferred payment arrangement will be agreed upfront, documented clearly and tailored to the scope of work, timing and needs of your business.
